More and more Islamic Designers are showing up on the scene, and it’s exciting! There’s a part of me that is a bit apprehensive because some of their outfits can’t be called anything other than “sexy”!

It makes me wonder if sometimes Islamic designers forget the part about Islam and get carried away by the design. But I’m still glad that there are more Islamic designers because it means that we’ll have more choices and better prices. And it’s quite satisfying to know that what you’re buying was made with you in mind. It’s just not the same when Chanel have their models wear scarves or some design house has their models strut down the runway in ridiculously tight or skimpy outfits and have a burqa type contraption on their head.
