Jilbe London’s designs are a great example of how Islamic Designers are creating modern designs that fit Islamic guidelines. This white summer cotton dress is simple, chic, and so effortlessly bohemian. It’s a refreshing change from the black abaya look that Islamic fashion is famous for.
Jilbe will do well if they offer more choices like this one. Unfortunately most of the designs on their site are yet to find that balance between Modern design and Islamic design and some of their pieces look like they came from Grandma’s closet. On the other hand, if you have an event to dress up for some of their evening wear might be just what the doctor ordered.
